The novel coronavirus disease, more commonly known as COVID-19, is one of the largest and exponentially growing problems around the world since the year started. As terrifying as the current state of the world is, there are several precautions that mothers can take to keep their babies safe.

Whether or not your community has confirmed cases, daycares or childcare are unfortunately prone to the spread of various illnesses because children tend to have a weaker constitution. If necessary, then make sure to have your children undergo a full wash and clean immediately after picking them up.
We can not stress this enough: maintain proper hygiene! Wash your hands regularly and properly, cover your mouth with a tissue or your elbow when you cough or sneeze, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Regular hygiene is also another simple way to prevent the spread of COVID-19, so having disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizers are a big help to you and your child. Your children and babies can be quite careless regarding this, so make sure to clean their faces, hands, and mouth every once in a while.

You can also try using washable, reusable nappies to save on stock.
For mothers who think they are infected with COVID-19, it is still safe to breastfeed children, as breastfeeding helps protect babies from a variety of illnesses. If you are having symptoms, however, then ensure to wear a mask and disinfect yourself via washing to avoid passing on the sickness.
For those parents feeding children or babies through bottles or cups, make sure to sanitize and disinfect all implements that go to your children’s hands and mouths. This includes washing your hands before preparing the bottles and using hot water to prepare the formula.
As troubling as everything seems at the moment, the most important point is not to panic. Panicking will only stress you out and cause your children to worry as well. Make sure to take care of yourself as much as you take care of them because parents actually have a higher chance of contracting the virus when compared to kids.
